Superfund Site: Southern Tool and Machine (SMT) is a former machine and tool company that produced machined parts and provided tooling and special machinery for manufacturing companies. SMT employed over 100 employees in 2002, when it declared bankruptcy. Approximately 475 55-gallon drums of waste generated by the company were abandoned at the property at that time.
