1 Änderungen gegenüber vorherigen Programmversionen

1.1 Entfallene Funktionen

- Unterstützung von Verbindungen via Modem, ISDN, ISA IGIS Karte und ISA IGIS V24.
- WINMAG Betriebsart als „Verteilte Netze“.
- Unterstützung von abgesetzten Treibern (auf PC ohne WINMAG plus).
- Mandantenfähigkeit

1.2 Vorbereitete Funktionen

- Der Login-Leser ist zur Zeit noch nicht verfügbar und wird voraussichtlich mit der WINMAG plus V6.5
verfügbar sein.
- Die WINMAG-Notlaufeigenschaften für 72 Stunden bei Dongle- Verlust oder -Beschädigung wird
voraussichtlich mit der nächsten WINMAG plus Version verfügbar sein.

1.3 Allgemein
- Der Kommunikationspart von WINMAG plus ist als Windows-Dienst implementiert. Dadurch erfolgt ein
automatischer Start beim Start des PCs.
- Zum Start WINMAG plus Oberfläche im Demo Modus, muss diese mit dem Parameter -d gestartet
werden.
- Die WINMAG plus Oberfläche wird standardmäßig im dunklen Anzeigemodus gestartet. Während der
Laufzeit kann der Anzeigemodus über einen Button in der Toolbar umgeschaltet werden. Soll bereits ab
Start der helle Anzeigemodus verwendet werden, muss die UI mit dem Parameter -white gestartet
werden.
- Die Datenübernahme von V05 nach V6 erzeugt die zwei Protokolldateien Import.log und ToDoList.txt
unter \Honeywell\WINMAG+\. Nach der Installation die Datei ToDoList.txt prüfen.
- Die Übernahme der Oberflächengestaltung erfolgt nur am Master. Die Konfiguration der Clients, welche
in den lokalen ini-Dateien enthalten ist, wird nicht übernommen.
- Die vorhandenen Druckereinstellungen aus WINMAG plus V05 können nicht automatische in die V6
übernommen werden.
- Die vordefinierten Werkzeugleisten aus der WINMAG plus V05 sind in der V6 nicht mehr verfügbar. Die
Werkzeugleiste wird lokal auf den Stationen gespeichert und muss nach Installation / Update manuell
neu erstellt werden.
- Änderungen an der Hardwarekonfiguration werden vom WinmagCore erst beim Logout bzw. Beenden
der WINMAG Config übernommen.
- Die entfallene Mandantenfunktion wird nun mit Hilfe der Userrechte abgebildet.

1.4 WINMAG Config

- Neues Modul von WINMAG plus. Dient nur zur Konfiguration.
- Die Konfigurationen (Hardware / Oberfläche) werden durch Doppelklick auf den Eintrag im Baum
geöffnet.
- Ein Parken von Zentralen/Meldepunkten ist zurzeit nicht möglich (V05 nach rechts schieben).
- Netze können via Drag&Drop an andere WINMAG plus-PCs verschoben werden.
- Um eine Verteilung des Alarmstapels zu ermöglichen muss zwingend am DataMaster die Checkbox
„Meldungen anderer Stationen anzeigen“ aktiviert sein.

1.5 Vor der Installation

- Vor einem Upgrade von WINMAG plus V05 auf V6 muss der alte ASSA "Fluchttür"-Treiber
(FTServer.exe) auf den neuen "Fluchttür MultiNetz"-Treiber (AssaDrv.exe) umgestellt werden.

1.6 Nach der Installation in der WINMAG Config zu prüfen

- In den Rechnereinträgen der Hardware-Konfiguration muss zwingend ein Rechnername hinterlegt sein.
Die IP-Adresse alleine ist nicht ausreichend.
- Bei den Treibern muss die lokale IP Adresse 127.0.0.1 hinterlegt sein.
- Die Druckerdefinition muss nach einem Update auf V6 neu erstellt werden.

1.7 Tipp
- Um Dateien vom Datenmaster zu den Clients zu übertragen, ist es ausreichend diese unter
\Honeywell\Winmag+\Sync abzulegen.

1.8 Fehlersuche
- Der WinmagCore-Dienst kann zur Fehlersuche auch als Konsolenapplikation durch folgenden
Startparameter -c gestartet werden.
- Durch den zusätzlichen Startparameter -Log=1 wird eine Protokollierung gestartet.
(\Honeywell\Winmag+\Bin\Prot\CoreLog.txt)
- Die Protokolldatei wird bei jedem Start des WinmagCore neu erstellt.
- Im Konsolenmodus sind die Fenster der Treiber zugänglich um z.B. eine Importdatei der Meldepunkte
zu erzeugen.

- Service-Timeout mit dem Fehlercode 1053.

Wenn Sie versuchen, den WinmagCore-Dienst zu starten, aber eine Fehlermeldung erhalten:
Windows konnte den WinmagCore Service auf dem lokalen Computer nicht starten.
Fehler 1053: Der Dienst hat nicht rechtzeitig auf die Start- oder Steuerungsanforderung reagiert.
In diesem Fall folgen Sie bitte die nachstehenden Schritte:
1. Starten Sie den Windows-Registrierungseditor.
2. Suchen Sie den folgenden Registrierungsunterschlüssel:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control

3. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf diesen Schlüssel und wählen Sie Neu >DWORD (32-
bit).
4. Auf der rechten Seite erscheint ein neuer Wert mit dem Namen Neuer Wert #1.
5. Ändern Sie den Namen dieses neuen Wertes auf ServicesPipeTimeout.
6. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf den Wert ServicesPipeTimeout, den Sie erstellt
haben, und wählen Sie Ändern. Das Fenster DWORD Wert wird geöffnet.
7. Ändern Sie Basis auf Dezimal.
8. Geben Sie in das Datenfeld Wert, den Wert (in Millisekunden) der Zeit ein, die der Dienst zum
Starten benötigt, und klicken Sie auf OK.

In unserer Testumgebung haben wir den Wert auf

240000 ms (4 Minuten) gesetzt, so dass der Dienst
korrekt gestartet werden kann. Es ist zulässig, einen
höheren Wert einzustellen - er sollte keine Auswirkungen
auf die Leistung haben
9. Starten Sie den Rechner neu.

1.9 Manueller Start der Treiber:

Treiber.exe -NetID “[Netz ID-Nr.]” – StationID „[Station ID-Nr.]“ -host „[Hostname der WINMAG-Station]“

2 Automatisches Datenbank Backup

Diese Funktion ist seit der WINMAG plus V6.1 SP1 enthalten.

Um diese Funktion zu aktivieren führen Sie bitte nachfolgende Einstellungen in der Applikation
WINMAGConfig durch:

1. Erstellen Sie einen neuen Zeitplan und definieren Sie wann und wie oft das Backup erfolgen soll.

In unserem Beispiel soll das Backup jeden Donnerstag und Freitag um 20:21 Uhr ausgeführt werden.

2. Speichern Sie den Zeitplan und gehen Sie nun in das Menü “Auftrag“ und fügen eine neuen
Datenbank Backup Auftrag hinzu.

Wählen Sie hierzu “Datenbank Backup” als Aufgabe und ordnen den unter 1. neu erstellten Zeitplan zu.
Sie müssen zum Schluss nun noch die korrekte WINMAG plus Arbeitsstation auswählen, auf welcher das
Backup ausgeführt werden soll.

Achtung: Es ist möglich das Backup auf jeder WINMAG plus Arbeitsstation individuell
ausführen zu lassen.

3. Speichern Sie nun die neue Aufgabe ab.

4. Den Pfad für das Backup wählen Sie in den “Allgemeinen Optionen“  „Backup
Verzeichnis“.

5. Wurde kein Backup-Verzeichnis ausgewählt, so wird das Backup automatisch im Ordner

“[WINMAG Installationspfad]\bin\sic” gespeichert.

6. Während des Backups werden folgende Dateien gespeichert:

a. WINMAG Konfigurationsdatenbank WMNGDB.fdb.

b. WINMAG Log Datenbank WMNGLOG.fdb.
c. WINMAG Notification Datenbank WMNOTIDB.fdb.

7. Die Datenbank Backup-Dateien werden im folgenden Format gespeichert:

[Datenbanktype][YYMMDDHHMM].fbk
► Beispiel: Die Backup-Datei der Konfigurationsdatenbank vom 14. Dezember
2019 um 20:21 Uhr heißt:
WMNGDB1912142021.fbk.

► Das Backup der Log Datenbank Datei vom 12. Mai 2019 14:40 Uhr heißt:
WMNGLOG1905121440.fbk.

3 Wiederherstellen eines Backup

1. Bevor eine Wiederherstellung erfolgen kann öffnen Sie das Fenster der  Windows
Dienste und stoppen den  WINMAGcore Dienst.
2. Zum Wiederherstellen einer WINMAG V6 Datenbank verwenden Sie die Datei
“WMDBBackup.exe” aus dem Ordner “[WINMAG Plus V6 Installation]\bin”.
a. Starten Sie nun WMDBBackup.exe.
b. Um die WINMAG Log Datenbank wiederherzustellen müssen Sie
WMDBBackup.exe mit dem Startparameter “-Type 1” ausführen.
c. Um die WINMAG Notification Datenbank wiederherzustellen, starten Sie
WMDBBackup.exe mit dem Startparameter “-Type 2”.

3. Nachdem Sie das Programm gestartet haben, wählen Sie bitte über “Suchen”, markiert
mit dem blauen Rahmen, die gewünschte Backup-Datei zur Wiederherstellung aus.
4. Nun drücken Sie “Laden” um den Vorgang zu starten.
5. Bitte beachten Sie, durch das Wiederherstellen wird Ihre aktuell in Verwendung
befindliche Datenbank nicht überschrieben, sondern in der Datenbank wie im roten
Rahmen dargestellt, gespeichert.
6. Nachdem die Wiederherstellung erfolgreich abgeschlossen wurde, sollten sie die aktuell
verwendete WINMAG Datenbank im Verzeichnis “[WINMAG V6 Installation]\database”
umbenennen. Zum Beispiel “WMNGDB.fdb” zu “WMNGDB_old.fdb”. Nun die neu
erstellte “WMNGDB1911281523.fdb” umbenennen in “WMNGDB.fdb”
7. Zum Schluss starten Sie den Dienst  “WINMAGcore” wieder.
8. Nun ist die Wiederherstellung abgeschlossen.

4 Changes to previous program versions

4.1 Omitted functions

- Support of connections via modem, ISDN, ISA IGIS card and ISA IGIS V24.
- WINMAG operating mode as "Distributed Client".
- Support of remote drivers (on PC without WINMAG plus).
- Clientele are obsolete.
- WebX

4.2 Pending functions

- The login reader is currently not available and is expected to be available with WINMAG plus V6.5.
- In case of dongle loss or damage WINMAG has emergency running features for 72 hours, this will
probably be available with the next WINMAG plus version.

4.3 General
- The communication part of WINMAG plus is implemented as a Windows service. This ensures that all
relevant communications are started automatically in the background.
- To start WINMAG plus UI (User Interface) in demo mode, it must be started with the parameter -d.
- WINMAG plus UI is showing in dark mode by default. During runtime, you could switch to light color via
toolbar button. To start UI in light mode by default, please use the start parameter -white.
- The data transfer from V05 to V6 generates the two log files "Import.log" and "ToDoList.txt" under
\Honeywell\WINMAG+\. After installation, check the file "ToDoList.txt".
- The carry over of the UI design takes place only at the master. The configuration of the clients contained
in the local ini-files will not be applied.
- The existing printer settings from WINMAG plus V05 can not be automatically transferred to V6.
- The predefined toolbars from WINMAG plus V05 are no longer available in V6. The toolbar is stored
locally on the stations and must be recreated manually after installation/update.
- Changes to the hardware configuration are only stored by the WinmagCore when logging out or exiting
WINMAG Config.
- Clientele functionality is now configurable within the user rights management.

4.4 WINMAG Config

- New module of WINMAG plus. Serves only for configuration.
- The configurations (hardware/user interface) are opened by double-clicking on the entry in the tree.
- It is currently not possible to park control panels/I/O devices (move to the right with V05).
- Networks can be moved via drag&drop to other WINMAG plus PCs.
- In order to enable a distribution of the alarm stack, the checkbox "Display messages from other stations"
must be activated on the DataMaster.

4.5 Before installation

- Before upgrading from WINMAG plus V05 to V6 the old ASSA "Emergency exit" route driver
(FTServer.exe) must be upgraded to the new "Emergency exit multi net" driver (AssaDrv.exe).

4.6 After installation, check in the WINMAG Config

- A computer name must be stored in the computer entries of the hardware configuration. The IP address
alone is not enough.
- For the drivers, the local IP address 127.0.0.1 must be stored.
- The printer definition must be recreated after updating to V6.

4.7 Tip
- To transfer files from the data master to the clients, it is sufficient to put them under
\Honeywell\Winmag+\Sync.

4.8 Troubleshooting
- The WinmagCore service can also be started as a console application by the start parameter -c for
troubleshooting.
- Logging is started by the additional start parameter -Log=1. (\Honeywell\Winmag+\Bin\prot\CoreLog.txt)
- The log file is recreated each time the WinmagCore is started.
- In console mode, the windows of the drivers are accessible e.g. to generate an import file of the I/O
devices.

- Service timeout with error code 1053.

If you try to start WinmagCore service, but get an error message:
Windows could not start the WinmagCore service on local Computer.
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
In the case, please follow the steps below:
10. Launch Windows Registry Editor.
11. Find the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control

12. Right-click this key and select New >DWORD (32-bit) Value.
13. A new value named New Value #1 appears on the right.
14. Change the name of this new value to ServicesPipeTimeout.
15. Right-click the ServicesPipeTimeout value you created, and choose Modify. The Edit DWORD
Value window opens.
16. Change Base to Decimal.
17. In the Value data field, type the value (in milliseconds) of time allowed for the service to start, and
click OK.

In our test environment, we set the value to 240000 ms

(4 minutes), and this enabled the service to start
correctly. It is permissible to set a higher value - it
should not have any impact on performance.
18. Finally, restart the machine.

4.9 Manual start of the drivers

Driver.exe -NetID "[Netz ID-no.]" - StationID "[Station ID-no.]" -host "[Hostname of the WINMAG-Station]"

5 Automatic database backup

Start with Winmag Plus V6.1 SP1, the automatic database backup function is included.

To activate this function, please follow the steps below:

1. Add a new schedule for when and how often the backup should be done.

For instance, we want to do the automatic backup every Thursday and Friday at 8:21 pm.

2. Save the schedule, and then go to the “Jobs” menu to add a new database backup job.

Choose “Database backup” as job type, and use the new schedule which we have defined in step 1. And
choose the correct WINMAG station which you want to run the backup.

Attention: it is possible to run database backup on each WINMAG station individually.

3. After that, click save button to save the schedule.

4. You can set the backup file path in the “General Options” ”Backup destination
directory“.

5. If the “Backup destination directory” is not specified, the default path of the backup file
would be “[WINMAG installation path]\bin\sic” folder.
6. During the automatic backup, WINMAG will backup the following databases
automatically:
a. The WINMAG configuration database WMNGDB.fdb.
b. The WINMAG log database WMNGLOG.fdb.
c. The WINMAG notification database WMNOTIDB.fdb.

7. Those backup files are named with following format:

[database type][YYMMDDHHMM].fbk
► For example, the configuration database is done on 14th December 2019 at
8:30 am, the backup file name should be:
WMNGDB1912142021.fbk.

► And if the log database backup in done on 12 th May at 2_40 pm, the backup
file name should be:
WMNGLOG1905121440.fbk.

6 To restore a WINMAG database

1. Before you want to restore any WINMAG database, go to windows  service console,
and stop the  WINMAGcore service.
2. To restore a WINMAG V6 database, you can use the “WMDBBackup.exe” in the
“[WINMAG Plus V6 installation folder]\bin” folder.
a. To restore the WINMAG configuration database, you only need to simply
start the WMDBBackup.exe.
b. To restore the WINMAG log database, you need to start the
WMDBBackup.exe with start parameter “-Type 1”.
c. To restore the WINMAG notification database, you need to start the
WMDBBackup.exe with the start parameter “-Type 2”.

3. Click on “search” button in the blue frame to choose the backup file which you want to
use for restore.
4. Then click “Load” button in the green frame to restore the database.
5. Please pay attention, the restore procedure will not overwrite your actual running
database, the restored db name is shown in the red frame.
6. After the restore is successfully, please go to the “[WINMAG V6 installation
folder]\database” folder, rename current running database. For example, you want to
restore the current WINMAG configuration database, then you should rename the current
“WMNGDB.fdb” to something else, and then change the successfully restored
“WMNGDB1911281523.fdb” to “WMNGDB.fdb”.
7. Then you can start the  “WINMAGcore” service again.
8. The restore is done.
