The Right Words
Put them together the best sequence and the results can be spectacular
The other day I got confused about something that somebody said, or didn’t say, and that led to an argument.
“I hate trying to explain something while I’m driving," the person answered.
And then we talked for a while, more information was given, and things started to make sense.
How does that help you as a writer? Well, in writing, as in life, the right words at the right time can be powerful and lead to wonderful results.
In writing, I need to remember to remind myself of a few things:
- Try to find the best words
- Use them effectively
- Try to be topical in regards to stories about recent news events
- Be first whenever possible
- Use more words if you can
- Explain things in different ways from multiple perspectives
In everyday conservations, words matter a lot and the lack of words can be significant too. Remember to choose wisely which words you use, and also remember to be silent as needed. Plus, you always have your body language to help communicate your messages when speaking in person.
