Background

General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC) Prices Paid support the Federal Government's general goal of being more transparent, and specifically to support greater acquisition transparency. The GSA FAS ITC IT Services Category manages GSA's GWACs.

Federal government can buy cost-effective, innovative solutions for information technology (IT) requirements through Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs). GWACs provide access to IT solutions such as systems design, software engineering, information assurance, and enterprise architecture solutions. Small business set-aside GWACs also provide socioeconomic credit. More information about GSA Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) can be found at www.gsa.gov/gwacs.

GSA's premier enterprise GWAC and  premier small business set-aside GWAC(s) provide flexible access to customized IT solutions from a large, diverse pool of industry partners. These contracts allow for long-term planning of large-scale program requirements and strengthen opportunities for small businesses. To learn more about GSA FAS GWAC visit www.gsa.gov/gwacdashboards and www.gsa.gov/gwacs.

GWAC Prices Paid Suite

The GWAC Prices Paid Suite of tools provide customer agencies with data that will aid in conducting (a) realistic price analysis; (b) negotiations; (c) independent government cost estimates (IGCE); and (d) aid in benchmarking competitive pricing.

The GWAC Prices Paid Suite of tools provide agencies with price range (low, average, & high) for each functional labor category on the GSA FAS GWACs by using the Life of Contract Analysis Dashboard and the Labor Analysis Dashboard, both of which can aid federal agency users in price analysis and negotiations.

Agency users can conduct improved market research and develop more realistic independent government cost estimates (IGCE) by using the  Labor Analysis Dashboard. These provide customers a more detailed view of the prices paid on labor categories for Time and Material (T&M) and Labor Hour (LH) contract types.

The Customer Interactive Prices Paid Dashboard provides federal agency users with some transparency and a detailed view into how their IT dollars are spent on GSA FAS GWACs by providing information such as how many task order awards, contract type, industry partners used, and the total amount spent.

To learn more about the data definitions and constraints in the GWAC Prices Paid Suite tools reference the "About the Data in Dashboards and Reports" document.
