Summary
[edit]DescriptionNtshingwayo kaMahole postcard.jpg |
English: This is a photograph of a postcard published around the time of the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879. The photographer and the publisher are unknown. The original postcard is in the collection of the National Army Museum, UK. Used on Wikimedia/Wikipedia with permission from the NAM.
The original postcard carries an incorrect citation which states that the photograph is of the Zulu King Cetshwayo at his homestead. In fact this is one of only two known and authenticated images of the Zulu induna [general] Ntshingwayo kaMahole, who lead the Zulu impis at Isandlwana. |
