Español: Escudo de Sogamoso, Colombia.
Blasón de forma española. Cuartelado, es decir, partido por una línea horizontal y otra vertical que se cortan en el centro. En el primer cuartel, campo de azur, una imagen antropomórfica del sol en oro; en el segundo, sobre campo de oro, un gorro frigio de gules, puesto en una lanza; en el tercero, sobre campo de sinople un toro afrontado de sable (es decir, la cabeza de un toro negro, de frente), y en el último cuartel, de argén, tres barras verticales de sable. Cimado con una corona mural con cuatro torres de oro mamposteadas de sable, con tres almenas cada una. Las torres llevan sendas puertas y dos ventanas cuadradas. Por divisa lleva una cinta de lienzo blanco, con la leyenda "SUAMOX, CIUDAD DEL SOL" en caracteres latinos de sable.
English: Coat of arms of Sogamoso, Colombia. Coat of Arms in Spanish form. Quartered, that is, split by a horizontal and a vertical line that are cut in the center. In the first barracks, azure field, an anthropomorphic image of the sun in gold; in the second, on a gold field, a Phrygian cap of gules, placed on a spear; in the third, on a sinople field a bull facing a saber (that is, the head of a black bull, in front), and in Top of a mural crown with four golden towers masponsed with saber, with three battlements each. The towers have two doors and two square windows. By currency it has a white canvas ribbon, with the legend "SUAMOX, CITY OF THE SUN" in Latin saber characters.
