CDP1802's Stuff

The sixth version of a website that I still can't figure out.

Welcome to the start of the month off!

It's October 26th of 2024.

As-mentioned on the last time I updated this "front page" stuff, this is around when every year seems to get a bit rough for my mind. I try to help myself out by stepping back from a lot of spaces and focusing on me. I'll be doing the same thing this year, starting this week I've got myself set to where I'm entirely off things like social media and I'm only looking at four Discord servers instead of thirteen. It's also just an election year in the US so I've got most-every news site blocked out, if I really need to see anything I'll hear it from the locals or a radio station. Following suit with last year, the way I'm going to try and fill the time where I was siting online chatting with people or scrolling the internet is with projects, music, and exercise.

The following projects are lined up: I'd like to finish up the RC2024/10 stuff even if it's going to run past the October deadline. I have a PET 2001N which needs debugged as it only displays random patterns of @. I have an IBM 5150 which needs revived (tantalums I assume) and a keyboard. I want to see if I can finish the CC-100 schematic. I'd like to look into thermal optics (how cheap can I reasonably spot people?) and how to protect their lenses from being shattered for an upcoming airsoft event. I might have a Sony PVM arrive that needs repaired. I'd like to do a few more postcard designs and mail some more of the things out.

Exercise is going to be an interesting one because it's something that I occasionally do well and then fumble really hard. The last two or three months have been pretty bad for me, I haven't been getting out nearly as often as I want and I've been overeating at pretty much all times. I've got myself back on drinking water, soda had a bit of a grip on me for a minute, but only killing one habit doesn't fix everything. I think my prior "no more food after now" cutoff was from 8:30PM until I got decent sleep, I'll be bringing that back. With sickness going across my workplace in waves I don't know how feasable proper gym time will be, that said I do know I can push to do more cardio on my own.

Music is just music, I like music. I'm just going to listen to more new music, I've been stuck in the same twenty albums for a while now and I'd like to get back to things like exploring bandcamp and heading to local shows.

Hopefully this all goes well!
