Idon’t know anyone who never had their heart broken or got disappointed with their romantic interest — the one they thought “could be the one”. Being rejected or betrayed is hard, comes with negative emotions, and challenges us to look deeper inside us, more likely to seek guilt in the “failure” (that being the more likely reaction: self-guilt, instead of looking at the situation holistically, with all the facts weighing in.)

A romantic breakup hurts (even if it was you who ended the relationship), and it’s a heavy emotional weight to carry. It will take time to recover emotionally and personally — some breakups have a deep negative impact on our self-confidence and self-esteem; we seem to lose track of ourselves and our life goals.
