Sometimes, you don't need a degree in atmospheric sciences to know rain is on the way.

Sunday's game between the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees went into a rain delay, and this striking photo made it immediately clear why.

The action came to a halt in the bottom of the eighth inning with the two teams tied at 3-3.

Toronto jumped ahead 2-0 in the second before New York tied it up in the sixth. Juan Soto put the Bronx Bombers ahead on a solo homer in the seventh, but Alejandro Kirk's sacrifice fly erased New York's advantage.

The Yankees need the win to keep pace with the Baltimore Orioles, who took down the Cleveland Guardians 9-5 earlier in the day. That put Baltimore into first place in the American League East with a 0.5-game lead.
