Abstract The accumulation of verse produced in hundreds of years of literary tradition; the works on poetry magazines, which are formed by compiling and recording in various structures in line with the choices and tastes of the people engaged in poetry, introduce us to each other poet through their poems. In this respect, the poems of the poets whose divans-if any-have not been determined yet and collected from the poem magazines; the very limited information provided by biographical sources about these poets-a short life story and a few couplet quotations-fulfills an important function in terms of eliminating the inadequacies it has in determining the characteristics of literary personality. In addition to the short introductory expressions presented by the tezkires by means of a considerable number of poems brought together in a poetry magazine, one of the poets who became more familiar to us in terms of their literary personality and poetical nature is Şeyh Nûşî Efendi. The poems of Şeyh Nûşî Efendi, whose divan has not yet been determined yet, are compiled in the poem journal T743 of the Istanbul University Rare Books Library (in turkish: Üniversitesi Nadir Eserler Kütüphanesi) (in 9 odes, 10 tahmîs, 7 müseddes, 3 tesdîs, 2 tercî'-bend, 34 ghazals, 1 kıt'a). Through these magazines it has reached the present day. In this declaration; after the introduction of the poets who produced poems by using the pseudonym Nûşî in Classical Turkish poetry, the poems compiled in the poem magazine are determined and evaluated on the poetical nature of Şeyh Nûşî Efendi, the subjects he dealt with and his literary personality; Ayşî Efendi's death was written in an elegy and 4 musammat (2 tahmîs and 2 tesdîs) created by compensating (tazmîn) Bakî's ghazals were included in the declaration in order to support the assessments on his poet identity.

In the Islamic Turkish literature the mevlid type includes the deep love and devotion to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) especially products that are expressed and shared as a verse. As a sign of the love of the Turkish people to the Prophet, the Turkish Mevlids constitute a wealth which can not to be found in any of the other religious genres in terms of the number. Due to the popularity and readings of the Mevlut Vesîletü'n-Necât (The occasion of Independence) (written by H. 812 / M. 1409), which was written by Süleyman Çelebi at the beginning of the 15 th century, many products of this genre appeared in Turkish literature in the following years. One of the examples of the 16 th century is the Mevlid named as Mevlûdü'n-Nebî with 464 couplets, which has two copies by Hamdullâh Hamdî (d. H. 863/1575?), known as Hatîb-i Hagia Sophia. One copy is in the Süleymaniye Library Fatih section and the other in the National Library. Mevlûdü'n-Nabî shows a great similarity with Vesîletü'n-Necât in terms of the parts forming its content. In addition to this, Hamdullah Hamdi's heavy and long interval meter preference in the Mevlûdü'n-Nebî, the detailed processing of the ascension section than the vilâdet (birth) section, the formation of couplets connecting the sections in different forms, the substitution of foreign words and literary arts, reveals particularly, that he has shown a distant attitude to pursue the structure and stylistic features of Vesîletü'n-Necât.

While enigmas were written about the 99 Names of God (Esmâ-i Hüsnâ) initially, they were written also for the names of Prophet Mohammed and other individuals’ names in time. Enigmas take intelligence, skill and a comprehensive knowledge accumulation to write and solve, and have artistic value that cannot be overlooked, because of the rich material as regards the simile and metaphor they include. Therefore, such poems are included at the end of the divans under the headline “enigmas”. Furthermore, a tradition of compilation was created by bringing the favored samples of this genre together in the form of collections. An example of such collections related to the Anatolian area of the Turkish literature in seventeenth century is the Enigma Collection (Mecmû‘a-i Mu‘ammeyât) of Master Nakîb-zâde Ni‘metullâh (Ni‘metî) of Bursa, (death: H.1060/1650?). This collection is registered in Giresun Manuscripts, Süleymaniye Library, with registry number 179. Ni‘metî had collected his 64 enigmas together with a large number of enigma examples of Turkish and Persian poets in this enigma collection. In addition, it is seen that original and translated works of leading Turkish and Persian representatives of the enigma genre are also included in this collection.

Mullah Hussein Ankâ (Phoenix) of Shiraz, the sixteenth century poet, is one of such poets. In this article, Dervish Ankâ (Phoenix) of whom 47 odes and 1 date stanzas have been cited in the corpus of poems named “Mecmû‘a-i Kasâ’id” recorded under number 3424 in Süleymaniye Library, Esat Efendi Collection, and presence of any divan is unknown is being introduced under the light of the information included in biographies and the said poems are supplied. Ankâ who comes from Shiraz has drawn attention with his elegant odes written in amorous and rindâne (odes with subjects including drinks, vanity and amusement) styles in Turkish and Persian languages and with his power of discourse in his poems written in Turkish, although he was Persian. The biographical source we were able to find about Dervish Ankâ is the Tezkiretü’ş-Şu‘arâ (Biographies of Poets) written by Kınalızâde Hasan Chelebi.

The biographical source we were able to find about Dervish Ankâ is the Tezkiretü’ş-Şu‘arâ (Biographies of Poets) written by Kınalızâde Hasan Chelebi.

poetical riddle that a name is hidden in a poem. While
enigmas were written about the 99 Names of God
(Esmâ-i Hüsnâ) initially, they were written also for
the names of Prophet Mohammed and other
individuals’ names in time. Enigmas take intelligence,
skill and a comprehensive knowledge accumulation to
write and solve, and have artistic value that cannot be
overlooked, because of the rich material as regards
the simile and metaphor they include. Therefore, such
poems are included at the end of the divans under the
headline “enigmas”. Furthermore, a tradition of
compilation was created by bringing the favored
samples of this genre together in the form of
collections. An example of such collections related to
the Anatolian area of the Turkish literature in
seventeenth century is the Enigma Collection
(Mecmû‘a-i Mu‘ammeyât) of Master Nakîb-zâde
Ni‘metullâh (Ni‘metî) of Bursa, (death:
H.1060/1650?). This collection is registered in
Giresun Manuscripts, Süleymaniye Library, with
registry number 179. Ni‘metî had collected his 64
enigmas together with a large number of enigma
examples of Turkish and Persian poets in this enigma
collection. In addition, it is seen that original and
translated works of leading Turkish and Persian
representatives of the enigma genre are also included
in this collection.
