Note on the use of AI generated content in this game: When I created this visual novel I sourced background art from Pexels and Pixabay. I wasn't aware of this at the time, but a lot of the images I downloaded and used were generated by AI. I personally don't believe AI generated content can be copyrightable, and thus I don't think I have a right to collect money from this game. Upon finding out about the AI content, I made this game totally free, removed the credit I'd originally given to the user I sourced those images from, and donated the money I collected to charity. This game was my first (and still only classically structured) visual novel. I'm still really proud of what I created and in awe of the amazing work other artists made that I was able to legally source and incorporate into the game (the sprites, the music, other background elements, etc). If I ever make another visual novel, I promise to not be such an embarrassing noob when it comes to this sort of thing. - Barb
