Virtualization is a powerful technology for increasing the efficiency of computing services. However, besides its advantages, its flexibility also raises a number of questions regarding security, especially as it forms the bedrock of the revolutionary technology of cloud computing. Research has shown that Cloud Computing directly has the potential to tremendously impact positively the profit margins of leading 21st century businesses but the lack of satisfactory answers to some of these questions, especially by cloud service providers, has greatly limited the rate of adoption of full virtualization by many governments and organizations. This paper aims to elucidate and classify the questions and threats to virtualization, and suggest possible solutions to them.

The study found out that undergraduates participate in politics and are aware of the various means of participating in politics, as well as believe that the participation of undergraduates in politics has an impact in national development. The study also found out that undergraduates believe they are left out of political office positions, and only used as an instrument for electoral violence by the political elites. It was further discovered that unemployment and inadequate political education, among other factors, limits the undergraduate participation in politics. The study recommends that undergraduates be engaged in all aspect of politics. A reorientation programme is setup for youths, where awareness is created for them to participate in politics.

The subject of terrorism has been top in the agenda of the United Nations and other regional and even national governments, including Nigeria, since the end of the Cold War, and particularly since the beginning of the millennium. The crux of foreign policy in many states, in Africa and around the world, has arguably been centered on maximizing the merits of globalization, while at the same time limiting its discontents. This article explored again the nexus between globalization and terrorism particularly in Nigeria. Qualitatively, this study identified some computer applications and processes that may be helpful in ensuring that the merits of such nexus outweigh its demerits, since globalization has arguably become a part of the human existence. The study concludes by restating the growing indispensable nature of globalization, re-emphasizes the seeming nexus between globalization and terrorism in Nigeria in particular and Africa in general. Policy makers and state actors are advised to proactively explore the merits of the artifacts of globalization in fighting this terrible enemy of development – terrorism, at all levels, while also considering education as a veritable tool for anti-terrorism.

However literature shows that women have arguably been marginalized in terms of political participation in democratic societies such as Nigeria. Most women participate sparsely in politics; only few occupy top political and civil service positions. This study therefore, using the survey research method, attempted to investigate participation of market women in grass roots governance in Nigeria, using Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, as a case in point. The study discovered that market women in Ikenne Local Government go as far as advising the government at the grass root on policies for rural development, although they are limited by the rising level of political violence in the country as well as financially. Market women would participate better and more meaningfully in politics if election risks are minimized.

This study investigated the efforts of Community Development Associations, which have been arguably classified as a fourth tier of government, in flood management, using the Omologede Community Development Association as a case in point. The study adopted the mixed research method; purposive sampling technique was used in gathering primary data, while secondary data were gathered from relevant journal articles, text books and other secondary sources. The study concludes that community development associations can play more developmental roles in the community if given better attention by the government, and incorporated into the development process. It recommends an improved personal and environmental sanitation behavior from the indigenes in the community as well as improved flood management rules and regulation by the Community Development Association.

We are aware of the fact that arms, to a large extent, were originally designed to serve as deterrence against forms of external aggression on territorial sovereignty. In the African case, arms are arguable believed to have gained access into the continent via colonialist activities, and could never have been intended for civilian uses. The current trend of conflict event in Africa shows that civilians are dominant participants in the several conflict situations in Africa. This study will attempt to discover what has lead to this unfortunate situation. This researcher consulted several scholarly secondary sources of information in generating data for this study, making the work more of a qualitative research. Several social, economic and maybe physical factors are responsible for the incessant use of arms by civilians: failure of governance, declining economic capacity of states, growing youthful population, the list goes on. If one is to make any predictions, following the trend of events, civilians, unfortunately, will remain key actors in the use of arms for the foreseeable future, in fact this may well be just the beginning of non-state actors getting involved with arms.
