Sissy Spacek
Sissy Spacek (nacida Mary Elizabeth Spacek; 25 d'avientu de 1949 en Quitman, Texas) ye una actriz y cantante d'Estaos Xuníos ganadora d'un Premiu de l'Academia. Ganó prominencia internacional gracies a los sos papeles principales como Holly Sargis na película de Terrence Malick, Badlands (1973), y como Carrie White na película de Brian de Palma, Carrie, basada na novela homónima de Stephen King, que-y apurrió'l so primer nominación al Premiu de l'Academia a Meyor actriz.
Vida temprana
editarSissy Spacek nació'l 25 d'avientu de 1949 en Quitman, Texas. Ella ye fía de Virginia Frances (apellíu de soltera Spilman) y Edwin Arnold Spacek, Sr., un axente llabrador.[5] Los güelos paternos de Spacek, Mary Červenka y Arnold A. Špaček (quién sirvió como Alcalde de Granger, Texas nel Condáu de Williamson), yeren d'orixe checu y alemán. La so madre, d'ascendencia inglesa ya irlandesa, yera del Valle Rio Grande de Texas.[6]
Spacek viose bien afeutada pola muerte del so hermanu de 18 años, Robbie, en 1967. Spacek definió esti eventu como "l'eventu definitoriu de tola mio vida".
Carrera cinematográfica
editarSpacek empezó nel mundu del cine de la mano de Torn, quien yá yera actor y gracies al cual pudo inscribise nel Actors Studio y nel Lee Strasberg Institute de Nueva York. El so primer papel foi na película Carne Vivo (1972), na cual interpretaba'l papel d'una muyer vendida na trata de blanques.
El so primer papel notable foi na película Males tierres (1973), onde conoció al Direutor d'arte direutor artísticu Jack Fisk, col que se casaría darréu.
El papel col que se daría a conocer mundialmente foi'l de "Carrie" na película Carrie (1976), pola que foi nomada al Óscar a la meyor actriz. Anque esi añu nun lu ganó, en 1980 consiguir pol so papel na película Coal Miner's Daughter, na qu'interpretaba a la estrella del Country Loretta Lynn.
Tamién tuvo nomada a un Grammy pola so interpretación na banda sonora d'esa película.
