Don't say yes

Work Text:

Buck lets himself get lost in the arms and magical lips of his finance (he’s pretty sure he’ll never not be giddy when referring to Tommy as his fiance) to the point where he forgets that they have guests.

“If you disgusting people don’t mind, we’d rather not see you both having sex in the kitchen.” Tommy growls and rolls his eyes before trying to separate from Evan so he can respond only to feel a hand in his hair pull him back in. Tommy lightly moans into Evan’s mouth while gripping the younger man’s hips pulling him closer to his chest and licking into his mouth.

“Evan, how about you finish cooking and then we take this to our bedroom for some private fun, okay?” Tommy whispers it all into Evan’s ear and smirks when the younger man’s knees weaken.

“Promise, Daddy?” Tommy nods at Evan before letting him go and walking out to the living room like he didn’t just wreck his partner’s brain for the second time in their relationship. While Buck and Tommy were lying in their bed, Jason was on the phone with his father to let him know of the new engagement. While Jason was doing that, Tommy called the only real father figure he’d ever known to tell him about the engagement.

Joe is sitting in his favorite chair while reading a book when his phone rings and he answers it without looking at the caller ID.

“Hello?” Joe says once the phone is at his ear as he raises an eyebrow at his adoptive son who is running around the house at normal speed (which is a shock for Joe) like a chicken with its head cut off.

“Hey, Dad, I was wondering when was a good time to have a family dinner in Central City?” Joe almost throws his book and reading glasses across the room from shock when he hears Tommy’s deep voice. Joe flags down Barry and puts his phone on speaker.

“Anytime you’re available will work, we’ll sort everything out as we get there.” Joe writes down everything that just happened once he notices that Barry is extremely confused as to what’s happening. Barry speed-reads the explanation and starts bouncing in his seat from the excitement of seeing his adoptive brother again soon.

“How’s tomorrow? Also, I will be bringing someone with me.” Joe and Barry silently celebrate not only seeing Tommy again tomorrow but also meeting one of Tommy’s boyfriends for the first time.

“Tomorrow works for everyone. If you want me to pick you guys up from the airport or bus station tomorrow just let me know.” Tommy smiles and kisses Evan’s ring hoping that the small gesture doesn’t wake him up.

“I’ll be flying us in personally, so yeah it would be great if you could pick us up at the airport.” Tommy says softly as he puts Evan’s hand back on the bed and runs his fingers through Evan’s curls.

“That’s right, I forgot you have multiple pilot’s licenses. Are you flying a Jet or helicopter?” Joe says while placing his phone down on the coffee table and putting his book and glasses down next to him.

“I was thinking of flying a helicopter there, renting one in the morning, and returning it after about 2 days so I can truly spend some time with you, Wally, Barry, and Iris if that’s okay with you guys.” Tommy says while Evan shifts almost fully into Tommy’s lap, curled up in a ball like a content cat, making Tommy chuckle fondly.

“We would love to spend a couple of days with you, kid.” Joe says while Barry becomes a human bobblehead to show his agreement that he, in fact, is esthetic at the prospect of spending 2 days with Tommy. The next day, Barry is sitting in S.T.A.R. Labs practically vibrating with anticipation and excitement, Joe left 10 minutes ago to pick up Tommy and his boyfriend from the airport, as he checks his phone for the 16th time.

“Why do you look like you’re about to phase through that chair, Barry?” Cisco asks when he walks into work and finds Barry sitting in a chair and almost vibrating.

“My older brother is visiting for a couple of days and Joe is picking him up from the airport right now. I haven’t seen him in years.” Barry says while kicking his feet like a little kid on Christmas morning, already imagining hugging Tommy again and how much he must’ve changed after so many years.

“Hey, Bare.” Tommy says as he walks into S.T.A.R. Labs with his hands in his pockets and a small smile directed at Barry. Barry looks up with wide, happy eyes at the sound of the familiar deep voice of Tommy Kinard, looking into the eyes of a man he hasn’t seen in 6 years. Barry doesn’t say anything and just bursts out of the chair he’s sitting in and runs to hug Tommy as tight as possible.

“I’m so glad you’re here, Tommy.” Barry says without letting go of Tommy, missing the warmth of hugging his older brother.

“You must be the brother that Barry said is visiting for a while, I’m Cisco.” Cisco says while assessing Tommy, not knowing if he’s a person that he can trust or not.

“I’m telling you, Wally, no where has coffee as good as Jitters.” Irsis says to Wally as they walk into the cortex of S.T.A.R. Labs, not looking forward so she doesn’t see Tommy yet.

“I would like to disagree with that. There’s a little whole-the-wall cafe in South L.A. that has coffee and pastries that are better than Jitters.” Tommy says while watching as Wally and Iris slowly look at him wide-eyed before quickly putting their coffees down quickly and running to hug him. Tommy lifts Iris off the ground while laughing happily when she jumps on him as Buck watches fondly at how Tommy interacts with his chosen family.

“I’m glad you guys are all here, I wanted to tell you guys that I’m getting married.” Tommy says while holding Evan’s hand tightly.
