APRU Open Dialogues 3rd Cohort
Prepare to join the 3rd Cohort of APRU Open Dialogues, led by Tecnológico de Monterrey. This program is designed to facilitate open dialogues among consortium universities, foster empathy and awareness on shared topics, and develop leadership skills.
Following the successful completion of the APRU Open Dialogues Pilots in 2023 and the 2nd Cohort in 2024, Tecnológico de Monterrey and APRU are thrilled to announce the program’s continuation. Get ready for the Open Dialogues program in Spanish, coming in the Autumn of 2024. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of a collaborative and impactful initiative!
Program characteristics:
- Tecnológico de Monterrey will organize and lead this workshop, with support from APRU.
- The target group for this cohort will be Spanish speaking undergraduate students from all disciplines.
- The program will provide innovative international educational experiences for the APRU student community through educational and digital tools.
- The program aims to provide a broader view of the common challenges in the Pacific Rim, increasing students’ understanding of shared needs, perspectives, and cultures.
Theme:
Addressing partner violence in the university context.
This theme focuses on addressing partner violence within the university setting, including both passive and active behaviors that cause harm, injury, or control against the will of the person in an intimate relationship.
Participants
We invite each university to nominate up to 10 undergraduate students to take part in the program.
Expected outcomes
- Make an immediate and long-term impact on student communities.
- Foster connections between students and their communities across borders to encourage the exchange of cultures and identities.
- Raise awareness of diversity and inclusion issues.
- Gather logistical information and insights to assess and continually enhance the Open Dialogues consortium program.
