DEEP DOWN ZERO

An ancient scroll has just been found, but its content is highly encrypted. 
The inscriptions indicate that the cipher's keyword was buried somewhere inside a local gold mine. 
Pickaxe in hand, you begin to dig your way down to this mystery's solution. 
But then, things start taking a disturbingly odd turn. 
How deep will you go before losing touch with reality?
