Since 1980s coconut got less attraction than other new commodities which are centralized being the new livelihood hope for the society. With the advance technology and the decentralization issue, we have to put more attention for coconut estate management in order to get more benefit for regional growth. In Sungai Geringging sub-district community coconut estate are traditionally manage above community-concerns land which called Pusako Tinggi, in the matters of critical circumstances the estate authorization can be change or in other words " being pawned " , but the land ownership cannot be change or in other words " not for sale ". The society closely keep that tradition, if someone violated the tradition the clan (family) and society will punish them, rarely happened that community estate change to become industry plantation. Human resources absorption in the community estate or we can call clan-owned estate are involving society in Sungai Geringging surrounding because so few people in the clan that can manage the estate, this is the impact of another tradition that called " merantau " or productive manhood emigration. Coconut is the main ingredient of the popular West Sumatera (Minangkabau) culinary. Traditionally managed coconut has become the main part of society livelihood, if coconut can be enhance manage especially for derivative products, it will enhance other related sectors such as transportation, tourism, culinary , etc. The regional economic growth rapidly because of the new sources which are charge by tax regulation from the new economic activities which are evolve from coconut comodity multiplier effect. Introdution The importance role of the agriculture sector in the economic development can be seen through the contribution of the sector in terms of this following, as the supplier of staple food, raw materials for other sectors, the surplus in the agricultural sector can be used as a savings or taxes to support other sectors. Then the agricultural sector also contributes to eliminating obstacles to foreign exchange through exports or foreign exchange income to save foreign exchange through import substitution. According to BPS Data (2015), agricultural sector is still the sector that absorbs the largest labor, but not so its contribution to economic growth. In Indonesia. economic growth driven by these primary sectors, namely agriculture, horticulture, livestock, mining and quarrying. Agriculture sector contribution to GDP growth is very fluctuate, tend to negative. The fluctuation contribution of the agricultural sector is influenced by factors such as seasons, natural disasters, floods, earthquake, volcanoes eruption, and pest attack.

Foreign Direct Investment inWest Sumatra province, is something that has been expanding in recent years.BKPMD, which is the province Regional Board for Investment Coordination, has make serious efforts to promote West Sumatra province in many countries that have potential in direct investment. In realization, the investment figures in West Sumatra province are less encouraging. Developing economic through investments, can not be separated from development planning. Therefore, the planning of the investments made by the government at the macro level, should be based on the existing infrastructures and resources, and what is needed by the community.In the midst of this globalized world, theoreticians tend to emphasize the economic importance and effect that are homogenizing, thus the investment as an economic factor seen as homogenous. Foreign investment should be merged amid differences between countries of origin and destination of investment, must admit some heterogeneity, concerning issues such as social and cultural co-modification, the existence of flexible specialization which can associate various products to the needs of diverse local specifications. By integrating demand factors of investments globally with local realities, will provide the success and sustainability of these foreign investments.
