Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. - Malcolm X
I have learnt over the years, that ongoing learning and gaining knowledge in any capacity is a powerful tool. From my younger days in elementary school at the B.C Muslim School in Richmond, I learnt the fundamentals of Islamic studies and secular studies.
Then, I transitioned to the public school system and attended high school at North Delta Secondary School. This broadened my mind to worldly experiences and the love for learning. Right after high school, I attended post-secondary studies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU); completing the Legal Administrative Studies Program with top honours. Then, I continued my education and completed the Bachelor of Business Administration: Human Resource Management degree at KPU.
Throughout my undergraduate studies, there was always a high level of commitment and dedication to achieving another academic goal. Presently, while working full-time at KPU in the Testing Department, I decided to continue my graduate studies at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in the MBA program. This was another step to challenge myself. During the program, there were a variety of courses that enhanced my knowledge from International Business to Advanced Corporate Finance.
I met a diverse cohort from all different ages and cultural backgrounds which was very nice. The Professors along the way were extremely helpful and engaging. In April 2022, I graduated from the MBA program and attended the convocation ceremony in June 2022. I enjoy the prospect of learning as it opens the door for opportunities and allowed me to achieve positive personal growth. I encourage anyone, at any age, to expand their knowledge in academic studies.
Thank you to my family, friends, and the community for their support and encouragement.
