Çalışmanın konusunu oluşturan defter, 6 Numaralı Mühimme Zeyli Defteri olup zeyl olması münasebetiyle tarihlere göre düzenli olarak sıralanmamıştır. Genel olarak hicrî 1000-1001 yılları arasını kapsayan bu çalışma metin, inceleme ve indeks kısımlarından oluşmaktadır. The opportunities offered by technology are used in educational processes to make education more ... more The opportunities offered by technology are used in educational processes to make education more qualified. One of the technology-based applications is virtual museums. Virtual museums make important contributions to bringing the works of art in museums to the classroom environment and making the lesson more concrete and understandable. Especially considering the exhibition of the past, virtual museums could be used for history courses but more research needs to be done on the subject. This study aimed at exploring pre-service history teachers’ opinions and experiences about virtual museum applications. The research was conducted via qualitative research approach and phenomenology design in line with the nature of this approach. The study group of the research consists of 15, 3rd grade teacher candidates studying in Department of History Teaching at Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty in 2020-2021 academic year. The data was collected via semi-structured interview form and analysed using the content analysis method. Considering the results obtained, it was reported that the participants responded considering the pandemic conditions, they regarded technology as a way to facilitate the learning-teaching processes of history courses and stated that virtual museum applications would contribute to history courses.

Considering education, this is an undesired situation. Moreover, history courses are occupied with human beings’ past, so people’s knowing their past while shaping their future has relatively great importance. This research aimed at studying the factors that led the individuals to like /be interested in history after high school education. Thus, the study offered the following opportunities to be detected: the study revealed the reasons/mistakes that led individuals not to like /be interested in history and thus making contribution to the literature in order not to repeat them and whether or not the factors that led individuals to like /get interested in history after high school education overlapped with the contemporary outcome processes. The research was carried out with qualitative research method and case study. The semi-structured interview developed by the researcher was administered to 12 people who volunteered to participate in the study in Turkey. The data obtained were analysed via descriptive analysis method. Therefore, the participants’ problems involved teaching history courses through traditional teacher-centred methods and as solutions, it was suggested that the popular sources which students are frequently exposed to should be included more in the learning process and student-centred methods should be used in history courses during the teaching of history. Especially, historical productions like historical films/dramas, documentaries, internet-assisted applications like social media and other opportunities offered by the technology were presented as suggestions during the processes of developing positive attitudes towards history and also for a better teaching of history.

These individuals’ participation in educational processes requires a special effort. This study is to evaluate history curriculum in theory in terms of disadvantaged groups and to learn history teachers’ opinions considering their approaches and experiences towards the disadvantaged groups in practice. The study adopted qualitative research method and it was designed as case study. Firstly, history curriculum was examined and the statements about disadvantaged groups in the curriculum were explained via descriptive analysis. Then, 11 history teachers were interviewed in 2019 with the semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher and the data obtained were analysed via content analysis. It was found that history curriculum included indirect emphases about the disadvantaged groups and history teachers were given the responsibility for the inclusion of students with different qualities in learning processes. It was determined in the interviews carried out with teachers that they had limited knowledge about the disadvantaged group and the individuals in this group, what they understood from the concept was multi-cultural individuals and the disabled, communication was the biggest problem experienced with the disadvantaged students, and teachers carried out mostly student-centered activities in order to overcome such obstacles. Disadvantaged status is not a condition that is usually in an individual’s power. Ina addition to this, education is the right of these individuals. The disadvantaged students must be enabled to engage in educational processes more effectively. History courses are the available field in this regard. Studies must be carried out about the effective and active participation of disadvantaged groups in history education activities. The good examples in Turkey and in the world must be followed and the researchers and educators must gain an access to these examples.
