Short but it really gets its point across.
Wow, such an awesome game! Very unique and smart played idea about collecting points to enable only certain controls. It was really fun to progress! Loved the ending. I think it would be nice to be able to skip the intro messages, since they can take long time, especially when you restart a lot (when platforming, for example). I played on Linux by the way, the game runs great!
Sadly this doesn't seem to work on Windows - you get a limited amount of movement as the screen 'fades in', but after that you can't really move at all. Even in the directions you've 'bought'.
Try holding r to restart
...
Yes, I did that. Hence my references to being able to move when the game was fading in.
Got the 0 and 4 orb abilites activated, with no free movement possible when the loading fade-in had occurred. Though oddly enough I could 'inch' slowly towards the corner of the entry room furthest away from the exit corridor. That's the corner of the room reachable with only the 0 and 1 orb abilities.
That's really strange, other people seem to be able to run it without issues on windows. The 4 orb ability gives you mouse look, were you not able to look around?
I was definitely able to look around.
The issue was that when the visuals 'loaded up', my directional movement keys stopping working properly.
Interestingly I could slowly 'inch' in the direction of an arrow key (about half a foot a second), particularly if I was holding the key down before the graphics fully loaded. This let me pick up the first few orbs.
However at the mouse-look stage I could only 'inch' towards the corner of the room furthest away from the door (in the direction of the forward and left movement keys without mouse look, if you get my meaning).
This might be an issue connected to my computer being slow and not completely able to handle the graphics. FPS was noticeably 'blurry' but playable. Perhaps 10FPS?
Thanks for replying, and congrats on the game design!
