September is Member Appreciation Month

Thank you for your support!

To show our gratitude to Members, we’re offering special events, reciprocal admission, discounts, and prizes this month.

Special Discounts and Prizes

  • Enjoy 25% off branded drinkware, and 15% off apparel (shirts, socks, and hats) in the Museum and Sea Center Stores.
  • Visit the Museum or Sea Center during the month of September and enter a drawing for a special prize package from our Stores.

Reciprocal Free Admission

Sep 1-30, enjoy free admission at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, for 2 adults and 5 children per visit. Online reservations are required.

Make an Online Reservation

  • Reservations are available at //SBBotanicGarden.org/visit and will be available for SBMNH Members starting September 1.
  • Select SBMNH Adult or Youth and complete the registration.
  • Please provide proof of membership at check in when you arrive

How to Place a Reservation:

  • Go to //SBBotanicGarden.org/visit
  • Select a date to visit
  • Select a time of entry, reservations are available every half hour. You can arrive 15 minutes early and up to 30 minutes late.
  • Select the number of tickets, each order can contain up to 7. Each reservation includes one parking spot, for additional parking please place a separate order.
  • Click Place Order
  • Complete the CAPTCHA (I'm not a robot)
  • Click Complete Order
  • Done! A confirmation email will be sent from admissions@SBBotanicGarden.org

Exclusive Member Events

Donuts & Dinos
Sunday, September 8, 9:00–10:00 AM

Enjoy donuts among the dinosaurs at our annual Members-only fall kick-off. Roam Prehistoric Forest and the Backyard, visit with the naturalist in the Nature Club House, and explore the exhibit halls. Catch the magnificent work of John Gould on the final day of Splendid Plumage. Orange juice included with your donuts. The Claudia Coffee Bar truck will be parked out front of the Museum and will have coffee, smoothies, and pastries for purchase.

Friday, September 13, 2024, 5:00-6:30 PM

Members, let’s gather to celebrate the reopening of Gladwin Planetarium! With roof repairs concluded, our Astronomy Programs presenters are ready to take you on a trip among the stars featuring stunning visuals and immersive storytelling. Click here for more information and to reserve tickets.

Members-only Hours on the Museum Grounds
Sundays in September (15, 22, 29), 9:00–10:00 AM

Experience the Museum Backyard and Prehistoric Forest without the crowds at special Members-only hours every Sunday in September. Get an early start to the day and stroll along the banks of Mission Creek as the dinosaurs roar, or enjoy the Backyard’s kid-sized creek.
