ZALF Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landsape Research cooperates with DataCite and the German National Library of Science and Technology Hannover (TIB) under a contract concerning the provision of “digital object identifiers” for the referencing and publication of scientific contents. As a centre for landscape research data, ZALF undertakes to comply with the rules of good scientific practice and to secure the quality, integrity and long-term availability of referenced data.

• The portal provides free access to data and their descriptive metadata, including information about research context, instruments, methods, research areas and data management aspects. 
• ZALF also offers other scientists and institutions involved in landscape research the use of ZALF’s data infrastructures and repositories for managing and publishing freely accessible primary landscape research data. 
• Data created by ZALF are registered world wide via DOI 10.4228/ZALF + Suffix. 

Since 2015, Open Research Data is among the master data repositories of Web of Science. Thus, ZALF data are included in the s Data Citation Index. In addition, ZALF Open Research Data is included in the re3data Registry of Research Data Repositories.
