Absentee Voting for All!

Alaska, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming are all states where all eligible voters can vote absentee if they so choose. Although that's still not the case for Connecticut, voters here will have the chance to change that this fall.

Public Statement

The League of Women Voters of Connecticut announced that all Connecticut races for state and federal legislative offices have been published on VOTE411.org, the League’s one-stop-shop for nonpartisan election-related information. Voters will notice something new this year: a campaign finance feature providing voters with insights into the financial backers of federal candidates ahead of the 2024 elections.

On October 25, 2023 the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters (CTLCV) announced the release of its 2023 Environmental Scorecard, a powerful tool that holds state lawmakers accountable for their environmental policy decisions. CTLCV publishes the annual Environmental Scorecard to let voters know what kind of actions their state representatives and senators take – or do not take – to protect the environment. This is the first year that CTLCV has included a separate Democracy Score as well as the legislator’s Environmental Score.
