From a near-death experience to injuries on the football field, Erskine C Johnson III has defeated his share of giants to reach a life of passion and purpose. Raised in Bucksport, South Carolina, Erskine's family knew he was destined for greatness after surviving a life-threatening asthma attack. In his early years, he pursued football with dreams of making it to the NFL following the path of several of his family members. Those dreams were derailed after two injuries forced him to make the difficult decision to end his football career in college. In high school, his naturally dramatic and entertaining personality intrigued him to take on acting, so it was only right that he was led back to this second love after football was over. This led him to his first professional acting job on BET's hit show, "The Game" playing the role of a San Diego Saber for two seasons in his senior year.
From the field to the stage, and now in front of the camera coming full circle, Erskine knew this was God's plan for his life, so he ran full speed towards his calling after graduating Cum Laude from South Carolina State University in May 2013. Since then, Erskine has been in numerous movies, music videos, stage plays, and television shows including Tyler Perry's outstanding "The Haves and Have Nots". Erskine says, "I want to bring to the table what people used to love on TV and not what they're watching now. I am allowing God to work through me to do what He has blessed me to do and also serve Him at the same time. Committing his vision of being an actor, producer, and director to serving God led him to create his own production company and work with others to bring the 'Ministry to the Industry' in different productions and partnerships. Along with acting, he is also a Youth Pastor of his church Victory Church, in Atlanta GA. He has led young people through small groups, coaching, and communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Recent projects for Erskine include a role on the television series "If Loving You Is Wrong," a recurring role in "The Haves And The Have Nots," the Atlanta Falcons Georgia Lottery commercial, and the Golden Globe Winning television show "Atlanta".
