Taixing city, located in East China's Jiangsu province, held an unveiling ceremony for a new energy ship quality-focused workstation on Sept 5.
The new facility will provide comprehensive quality infrastructure services for ships and support associated business enterprises.
To date, five quality-focused workstations have opened in the city, offering services for resident enterprises, especially small and medium-sized businesses.
Their functions include metrology, certification and accreditation, inspections and testing, and quality management.
The successive establishment of the quality-focused workstations has boosted the technological upgrading and industrial development of local businesses.
Since last year, Taixing's market regulations department has set up quality-focused workstations in industrial parks such as in Hongqiao Industrial Park and in the Taixing High-tech Zone.
One prime example of the initiative is the quality-focused workstation in the Taixing Economic Development Zone, which guided resident manufacturer Jiangsu Changlong Agrochemical to obtain Jiangsu Premium Brand certification for its pesticide products throughout the entire process.
To date, Taixing's quality-focused workstations have helped seven companies to obtain Jiangsu Premium Brand certification, as well as assisted enterprises to obtain 160 million yuan ($22.47 million) in special loans and 675 million yuan in intellectual property pledge financing.
