PARAM 1.1 input form

A web interface for the Bayesian estimation of stellar parameters

See the paper da Silva et al (2006), A&A 458, 609 for details.

New: Version 1.1 released in March 18, 2011 (although the main novelty is still hidden, because it requires some adjustments).

Stellar observables Enter with the stellar observed parameters together with their 1σ errors (here assumed to be Gaussian):
Name
Teff=± K
[Fe/H]=± dex
V=± mag
parallax=± mas

Note: the following options are still very limited, and in principle do not need to be changed. More alternatives will be added soon.

Evolutionary tracksBasic set: Girardi et al. 2000 + simplified TP-AGB (for M≤7M☉) + Bertelli et al. 1994 (for M>7M☉) + additional Z=0.0001 and Z=0.001 tracks. Isochrones are available for all 0.0001≤Z≤0.03, and ages from 0 to 17 Gyr, in the range 0.15≤M/M☉<100.
Bayesian priorsIMF for single stars:
Star Formation Rate:
