Search for neutron-antineutron oscillation in O16 nuclei

Abstract

Results are presented on neutron-antineutron oscillations in a O16 nucleus from the Kamioka nucleon-decay experiment KAMIOKANDE. The lower limit on neutron lifetime in O16 is 4.3×1031 yr at 90% C.L., corresponding to a lower limit of 1.2×108 sec at 90% C.L. for neutron-antineutron oscillation time.
