Abstract: Exploring the impact of digital inclusive finance on the resilience of the food system to point out new direction for guaranteeing national food security and realizing agricultural and rural modernization. Based on the panel data of 31 provinces nationwide from 2011 to 2020, we construct a comprehensive evaluation index system of food system resilience from three dimensions of resistance, adaptability and change ability, measure the level of food system resilience by using the entropy value method, and empirically test the spatial spillover effect and heterogeneity of digital inclusive finance on food system resilience by using a spatial econometric model. It is found that digital inclusive finance has a significant positive spatial spillover effect on food system resilience, i.e., digital inclusive finance can enhance the food system resilience in the region and neighboring regions; the breadth of coverage, depth of use and digitalization of digital inclusive finance all contribute to the improvement of food system resilience; the impact of digital inclusive finance on food system resilience varies significantly across regions, with the main marketing areas having the largest effect of digital inclusive finance on food system resilience, followed by the main production areas and balanced production and marketing areas. It should vigorously develop digital inclusive finance, promote the construction of rural digital inclusive financial infrastructure, improve the financial literacy of farmers, innovate financial service models and digital technologies, give full play to the advantages of each production area according to local conditions, and strengthen mutual cooperation among regions.
